Thank you very much! When the trigs are set to mute mode, cue+trig is solo mode. So I'm soloing only the orchestra parts the first time, and soloing just the bass the second time (but it happenens to be during a silent part, so there's no bass) :D

@@davidrauline9730 Hehe, thanks a lot! I'm using a Squier Affinity PJ bass with roundwound strings plugged straight into the Octatrack, no preamp or anything in between. I'm using just the neck pickups, and for some reason they're quite a bit hotter than the pickups on my Squier Jazz bass. On the Octatrack I'm using the filter and compressor FX. The filter drive is set high pretty high and I'm using the resonant filters to boost the lows and highs a tiny bit. The compressor is pretty aggressive. I'm using the init settings (max ratio) and lowering the threshold until I can play softly and it's still as loud as when I play hard. Finger noise is very noticeable when solo but it gets drowned out by all the other tracks. Since there's no preamp, there's very little presence and it sounds like the tone knob is turned all the way down even when it's all the way up. I'm really happy I'm getting a bass tone I like this way, because it's a hassle having to run my bass through an audio interface and plugins and into the OT. I can just plug it straight into the OT and get this tone :)

Sadly, you can't do this with the Rytm or Analog Four. Their midi implementation isn't as feature rich as the digi-boxes, so you're limited in what parameters you can control. There are still things you can do, like use the track mutes to control stuff in FL Studio via midi. Another downside of the A4 and AR is that if you use them as the audio interface, you can't run their audio through plugins in a DAW without introducing a feedback loop. The Digitakt, Digitone, Syntakt, and Analog Heat all have an option called "int to main" which can be turned on or off. When set to off, it mutes the internal audio on the main outputs, so you only hear audio coming in from USB. If "int to main" is turned on, the audio is sent to the main outs AND over USB, and is then processed by your DAW and sent back over USB to the main outs, which in turn gets sent back over USB, which is what causes the feedback loop.

@@IvarTryti thank you for extensive answer. Damn, I'm considering a drum machine. Rytm seems to be powerhorse station. I'm assuming you can record the pattern from A4/Rytm as an audio and then apply fx to it, however I'm midi oriented. It could be good option to implement to my workflow as I rarely use wav files - mostly its either sampled dialogue/monologue from movie/documentary etc. I like the idea of having synth and sampler in one box. Digitakt seems great, but I love tweaking my Digitone & I'm highly curious about Rytm (I know its capabilities of synthesis are not close to A4's but still:D) Anyway, thank you for your time. Ps. Oops, I forgot to actually answer! All the melodic sounds are one-shot samples of my patches from the Analog Four and Digitone. I sequenced all the melodies using these one-shot samples on the Digitakt itself :)
